Student Council

Roles

• Chair: acting as the main contact with ADSM’s management, promoting partnership between ADSM’s students’ population and management, ensuring that all Council members are actively involved and reviewing the formation when necessary
• Vice Chair: supporting the Chair in carrying out his/her responsibilities, acting as the Chair and assuming his/her responsibilities as needed (e.g. if the Chair is absent)
• Members: supporting Council activities

Responsibilities

• Support ADSM’s Mission, Vision and Strategic Objectives
• Enhance the learning experience of ADSM’s students by providing constructive feedback to ADSM’s management
• Advocate for students’ rights and foster an atmosphere of dialogue and cooperation between students and management
• Encourage students to be active members in ADSM’s community and to participate in activities arranged by the Institution

Student Council Accomplishments

1. Adding a Feature in the mobile application to enable students to generate unofficial transcript “PDF.”
2. Adding a Feature in the mobile application to enable students to request class schedule regularly [to whom it may concern]
3. Enabling students to schedule meetings directly with their Academic Advisors through syncing the mobile application with the LMS scheduling system
4. Promoting Student Council across different communication channels
5. Maintaining and updating the student council policy
6. Selected Student Council members are actively participating in ADSM’s Policy Committee, Information Technology Policy and Academic Council
7. Assigning parking slots for people of determination & pregnant ladies
8. Planning events and activities
9. Planning educational trips
